Animation Update: Week 4.5

Writer's picture: Katie ShieldsKatie Shields

Updates:

- My Father rig broke mid animation. Apparently, he doesn't like it when I shrink him down to the size of my exterior environment and develops some gaping holes in a really unfortunate area. (See below.)

- Dialogue is almost fully recorded and finalized, waiting on more finalized recordings for Lynn. These will be in my possession this weekend.

- This soundless (with the exception of dialogue) animatic is lacking music and sound effects because I've made quite a few timing changes and this iteration is being sent to my composer and sound designer for rough screenings.

- I've been starting to struggle a bit between Capstone, work for other classes, work for my jobs, and a hefty tournament schedule. My schedule should be opening up this coming week, but unfortunately, that is after rough screenings. So, I'm a little disappointed that what I am going to show isn't as much as I could have with my usual film work schedule.

Needless to say, I'm happy with the film so far, but it's getting to the point where I can't tell if it's boring because it doesn't have the extra pizazz that comes with final sound, lighting, and rendering (not to mention I've watched it a million times over the last two semesters), or if its actually boring : /
