Animation has been well underway at this point and we are almost at the finish line. In the last week, I was able to do a lot of animation refining and also add in those safety features everyone said my characters needed being in a moving vehicle. The seatbelts aren't the greatest, but they work so we are moving on in production.
I also haven't messed around with changing around placement of the father's echoey comments just yet, but I'm thinking of adding the "they're dangerous creatures" back in at 2:17 and shifting the "you're just a little girl" to be a little sooner.
My film is at picture lock, but I want to finish up refining those last few shots before I send it off to my sound designer, just because I know it would be better for her to have absolutely everything done and it will only take me two more work days to do.
*In this update of the film, anything with full body color is 100% done with animation aside from lip sync where it is needed. I plan to start rendering the shots without lip sync while I work on the lip sync these next two weeks.
Another question I had that I would like others' input on:
What should I do with my credits? I would love to have 2D art of the girl and the dog, but I don't have the skill or time to do that. If I could find someone to do this, that would be ideal, but I also need to make this decision soon so my composer can finish the timed piece. My other idea was to just have the credits fade in and out at this ended freeze frame of this edit (there will be more trees when I actually render it). The other idea was how I had it before this edit with different pictures of the trees in the woods (see below for old edit as reference).
